irproper oil level, poor oil gualify, improper adjustment of linkage mechanism, and abnormalengine speed are the most common causes of automatic trangmisgion failures. Theinspection and readjustment of these components are usually referred to as the basicspection of automatic transmissions.
(1) Before conducting any automatic transmission inspection or faultdiagnosis, the oil leveii of the automatic transmission should be checkecfirst (in addition, the oil level of the automatic transmission should be:hecked every 1500-2000km of vehicle travel). The inspection method isas follows:
(1Park the car on a level surface and tighten the parkingbrake,allowing the engine to idle for at least 1 minute.2 Press and hold the brake pedal, shift the gear lever to positionssuch as reverse (R),forward (D),forward low gear (S,L or 2, 1), etc.and stay in each gear for a few seconds to fill the hydraulic torqueconverter and all shift actuators with automatic transmission oil.Finally, shift the gear lever to the Park (P) position.3) Pull out the dipstick from the fuel tube, wipe it clean, insert it into the oll tube, andthen pull it out again to check the oil level on the dipstick
