Complementing the steel balls, the wheel hub unit outer ring/flange produced by JSPT is forged from 55# steel. Its raceway surface hardness is precisely controlled within HRC 58-64, supported by a consistent case depth ≥1.5 mm (tested on the axial cross-section). This deep, uniform hardening process is critical for preventing premature wear and extending the service life of the entire bearing assembly.
Furthermore, JSPT's advanced finishing processes achieve exceptional surface quality. Key functional surfaces, including raceways and end faces, are machined to achieve a surface roughness Ra≤0.8μm, reaching an ultra-smooth level. This high precision minimizes friction, reduces operating noise and vibration, thereby significantly improving the overall performance and efficiency of automotive wheel end systems.
